Bath & North East Somerset’s much‑loved Volunteers Fair returns to the Guildhall on 23 February, running from 11am to 1pm, and this year’s event is set to be the most vibrant yet. Hosted by Achieve in B&NES, Bath & North East Somerset Council’s employment and skills brand, the fair continues to grow as a key moment in the local calendar for anyone looking to give back, learn new skills, or connect with inspiring community organisations.
The Volunteers Fair is designed as a welcoming space where residents can explore a wide range of volunteering opportunities, meet local charities and community groups, and discover meaningful ways to contribute their time and talents. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or taking your first steps into community involvement, the event offers something for everyone.
Building on Last Year’s Success
The 2025 Volunteers Fair was one of the busiest yet, building significantly on the momentum from previous years. The number of organisations attending rose from 16 in 2024 to 20 in 2025, while public attendance increased from 80 people in 2024 to between 120 and 140 in 2025. The Guildhall was buzzing with energy, and both visitors and organisations praised the lively, positive atmosphere.
Feedback from attendees reflected this enthusiasm. Members of the public rated the overall success of the event at an impressive 4.4 out of 5, with many commenting on the variety of opportunities available and the friendliness of stallholders.
Additional comments highlighted the value of the day:
- “A really successful event for us”
- “Really rewarding event with plenty of quality engagement”
- “Thank you for the opportunity”
- “It was great!”
These strong results reflect the growing appetite for community connection and the important role volunteering plays across Bath & North East Somerset.
Looking Ahead to 2026
This year’s fair aims to build on that success by bringing together an even wider range of organisations and creating more opportunities for residents to get involved. With community spirit at its heart, the Volunteers Fair 2026 is set to be a celebration of the people and groups who make B&NES a stronger, more compassionate place to live.
