Local Charity welcomes supporters to its new home

They were pleased to be able to welcome one of their new local councillors, Councillor June Player and the Deputy Mayor of Bath Ian Halsall. The Council have been instrumental in supporting the charity's growth to date and used some of their vacant unit grant to help with the costs of their recent move. Now they have settled in they hope to continue to expand that relationship to work together to reduce the amount of waste generated in our community. The mission of Share and Repair is to encourage people to borrow, not buy and to repair instead of throwing things away.

CEO, Ruth Lambert said " It was lovely to welcome so many people who have supported us over the years, including Toni Green and Becky Somerset from 3SG, Amy Sawbridge who has been supporting our strategy development, and Claudia Ghamini from Storm Consultancy, who has been providing us with marketing support - we are honoured that Storm chose us as their Charity of The Year in 2025!"

“It was brilliant to see our new space in use after moving in just a couple of weeks ago, and we felt really welcomed into the new area by everyone who came to our Open House. We have been overwhelmed by the hard work our volunteers have put in to help our small staff team pull our move together. We’re looking forward to growing into our new location and we hope the local community will continue to drop in and visit us”

Share and Repair started in 2017 with one Repair Cafe and now supports 12 monthly pop up Repair Cafes across the local area, offers regular repair sessions from their new base on the Lower Bristol Road and has a Library of Things where local residents can borrow around 700 different items for a small fee, saving themselves money and space.
