Share and Repair is an environmentally focussed charity based in and around Bath which works to support the local community to repair, borrow and reuse items rather than buying new or throwing them away. Although typically recognised for their 11 Repair Cafes and Library of Things, Share and Repair has a small team of HomeKIT volunteers working hard to support local residents who are struggling to buy basic items for their homes.

The Youth Guarantee Trailblazer Roadshow is coming to Midsomer Norton on Thursday 29th January at Welton Rovers Football Club. Aimed at 16 to 21 year‑olds not currently in work, education, or training, this free event offers workshops, mentoring, and creative sessions to help young people explore opportunities, build confidence, and gain real‑world advice.

Bath based environmental charity Share and Repair hosted an Open House at their new home on the Lower Bristol Road on 25th September. They moved to their new base earlier in the month and were delighted to be able to host their first event to welcome customers, volunteers and supporters into their new base.

Disabled jobseekers will be able to connect with employers who are committed to inclusive employment practices at an event taking place on at the Guildhall in Bath, on Thursday 23 October.

There are less than ten weeks to go until Bath & North East Somerset Council warmly welcomes residents, local businesses and visitors from across the UK and overseas to the enchanting Bath Christmas Market for its 25th anniversary year.

Smokers in Bath and North East Somerset are being urged to get support to quit smoking this Stoptober.

On 12th August local environmental charity Share and Repair hosted their second Tech Amnesty in partnership with Somerset charity Donate IT. Throughout the morning local people were able to bring along any tech items lurking in their “drawer of doom”. Donate IT will then securely wipe their data, refurbish them where necessary and redistribute as many as possible to support people who require access to tech, but due to the cost of living crisis are unable to buy the items they need. Donate IT work closely with partner organisations such as Share and Repair to both collect in old tech and redistribute it.

A new initiative is giving young people with additional needs the opportunity to take their first steps into the world of work. The Somer Valley Skills Pathway Supported Internship is now open for applications, offering a unique blend of real-world work experience, skill-building, and tailored support.
